Flanges (ANSI B16.5)
We specialize in carbon and stainless steel flanges; commodity or custom design. Following are descriptions of some of the flanges that we can provide.
A flange is a forged ring of steel used either to join two sections of pipe or start a section of pipe from a pressure vessel or valve. It may be joined to the pipe by a weld or thread. |

Weld Neck Flange |
This type of flange is designed to transfer stress to the pipe. It can be used in high pressure and extreme temperature environments.

Slip-On Flange |
This type of flange has a lower unit cost than a Weld Neck flange, but installation costs are as high as for Weld Neck flanges.

Blind Flange |
This flange has no bore. It typically closes off the end of a piping system while also permitting easy access to the interior of a line after installation.

Threaded Flange |
This flange is assembled without welding. It can be used in low-pressure applications and in highly explosive areas where welding is dangerous. It is not suited for uses where there are cyclical te

Socket Weld Flange |
This flange have a bore and counter bore, which allows the pipe to be inserted into the flange. This is more expensive than a Slip-On but much stronger. It is primarily used for high-pressure small
